How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:103-105

My body is still throwing its tantrums when it doesn’t get its way and trying to be in control. It tries to justify why it deserves to get a treat or eat whatever it wants with no regard to consequences. My mind is even fighting against other parts of my body because most of what it is craving is damaging to another part. So why do I continue to give in to its demands, expecting a different outcome?! A reminder to keep God as the center of my life and depend on Him for all comfort and encouragement, not food!

This morning was a bit of a rush to get both kids off to their respective schools, so I only had time for the breakfast special. (There was no time for a photo but since I eat the same thing every morning, you can simply look back at past posts to get the idea of what was consumed!) After much sighing and ‘gently’ encouraging, I finally got my son out the door and off to school. Then it was my daughter’s turn to get ready and out the door. Finally, my husband and I were able to sit down in a quiet house to get some work done. (Can you hear our sighs?!)

For lunch, I reheated some chicken and bacon acorn squash patties from last night’s leftovers (minus the cabbage which ended up in the trash last night-sorry cabbage lovers!).

Dinner was a bit of a disappointment, I must admit. I have been excited to try this Pad Thai recipe because that is one dish I REALLY miss with Paleo eating. Although the dish tonight tasted okay, it didn’t have that satisfying flavor of original Pad Thai. I will just have to keep looking for a good Paleo version.
